Gorgeous property right in the jungle - absolutely amazing setting. Very welcoming hosts. The Cabin was really clean and the outdoor kitchen was pretty cool. The beds were very comfortable. There was an information booklet in the cabin which had an amazing range of activities, which you can book with the hosts.

A recently renovated villa set in Sarapiquí, Río Sarapiquí Lodge features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

The grounds of the lodge are beautiful - there are many beautiful flowers and lots of different birds -- it is a birdwatcher's paradise. The cabins have nice decks with comfortable chairs as well as a large central viewing deck with hammocks and comfortable chairs. The staff was were welcoming and spoke excellent English. They went above and beyond any expectations when my friend became ill and had to go to the local clinic. The owner of the lodge drove us to the clinic and stayed with our friend the whole time, translating and ensuring he got his proper medications. We are so grateful.

This lodge is set in the Tirimbina Nature Reserve and 2 km from De la Virgen Park. It features free Wi-Fi, an extensive garden and a furnished terrace.

Amazing! Very cosy place, exceeded our expectations (after reading some sceptical reviews)! It is a very comfortable, tranquile, lots of nature around you, wonderful people, working at it. We also liked the tours and the restaurant (and very kindhearted ladies in it :) p.s. try to "use" the time before and after the tourists "from outside the gate" come (evening and morning, before 9-10 a.m.). It is not becoming too crowdy, but before this you have a feeling of being "nearly alone in a beautiful nature". After this you can enjoy a wonderful terrace, where we saw many nice birds and beautiful frogs.

If you want a real jungle experience, this is the place. Combine that with comfortable rooms, a hot shower, stunning nature, very friendly staff and great food. That is Chilamate Eco Retreat. We went for a rafting tour (booked in the hotel), it was AWESOME! Our guide was a pro-kayaker and knew this river like his back pocket. Friendly, funny and explains a lot about the nature there. The hotel provided water shoes as we did not have them. Also book the Night Walk in the hotel. Because the garden and jungle around the hotel is full of animals! You won't spot it yourself, but with a guide you will see amazing nature. What we saw in the jungle garden: armadillo, snakes, banana spider, red eyed frog, poison dart frog, opossum, basilisk, bullfrog, bullet ant, lizards, and more! So, we only got 1 advice for travellers: Go here. There is lots to see. Also good food at Sodas around the hotel.
