The apartment was super nice and clean. Two minutes walk to the bakery and Jennerbahn that takes you up to the most beautiful views. Restaurant Lago with great pizzas was also a couple of minutes away and approx 10 minutes walk to the lake from where the boat tours started. I recommend that you take the tour to Salet so you can walk to Obersee which is absolutely stunning! We got a warm welcoming and the hostess gave us many advice. When you check in you get a card which gives you a discount for Jennerbahn for instance. We absolutely loved our stay and I can highly recommend Apart Chalet Unterbrandnerlehen!!

The chalet is stunning. Mariola put so much care into every detail and went above and beyond to make the home as luxurious as possible. Beds were comfortable. Sauna was great. Five minutes from Königsee and the Jennerbahn. 5 minutes to Berchtesgaden. 15 minutes to the Eagle's Nest

My mother left Berchtesgadenerland 60 years ago to marry an Englishman and we have returned for holidays many times since then. This is certainly the best accomodation we have enjoyed in all those years. This is a wonderful appartment which is carefully designed to accommodate all the needs of a family on holiday. One of those needs is space and this is often missing with other Ferienwohnungen. Not here. It's huge - more than room enough for 6 people to relax, a big hallway to store boots, rucksacks and coats, far too much storage space generally (if such a thing is possible) and a kitchen with absolutely everything you need. The "family room" is actually a a double room leading to a separate smaller room with bunk beds, so the kids get their own space and so do their parents. We had the standard alpine weather of heavy rain and cloud/blazing sunshine. During the rain, we relaxed, cooked and listened to music on the awesome sound system. When the skies were clear, the views were jaw-dropping. The balcony from the living room faces West toward the Reiteralm and Steinberg. Step onto the smaller balcony from the bathroom/sauna and you have an uninterrupted view of the Göll Massif, with the lights on the Jennerbahn twinkling as night falls. One last note. I did have problems communicating with Booking.com over changes to our booking, but thanks to excellent communication with the local management company Feria (danke Andrea), this was not a problem in the end. Great location,comfortable beds,good size kitchen , dining and sitting room and bedrrooms. Peaceful location. Guest pass for free local buses and short walk to buses for Lake Konigsee, documentation centre for Eagles nest. Short walk to the best swimming baths and the best view from a swimming baths(visible from the chalet) walking distance to the Salt mines and very short walk to Beer Haus(?) for food drink and traditional music and dance(fridays). Short but steep climb to the village centre ,which is beautiful.
