Very lovely stay, though it’s small it has everything you need. Very clean and well maintained. Room is of good size and view of the forest. Many details in the hotel. Breakfast were nice too, they have Japanese style and western style in rotation. Though the bathroom is shared, each family can book their own session. Family owned and they are all very friendly. Also it’s very close to the Sakka Slope.

We loved that we had an ample amount of space. The chalet was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of three. We also loved the washer and dryer and how close it was to various restaurants and shops in Echoland. More importantly, through messaging within the booking app the staff at the hotel went above and beyond for us. They were exceptionally communicative in assisting us after my husband left a bag on the Shinkansen from Tokyo. They also provided a free shuttle ride to and from the bus stop which was great. The drivers were so nice

Situated just a 5-minute walk away from Happo One Ski Resort in Hakuba, ZEN CHALETS Hakuba offer fully equipped chalets with a bedroom, a living room and a kitchen. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

If there had been snow, the location would have been excellent. The lodging was cozy, spacious, and relaxing. We ended up spending a lot of time inside, since it was rainy, and we didn't get to ski as much as originally hoped. We were conveniently able to get rides from the staff to go to the market, and get to/from the bus station.

Super comfortable stay with everything we needed to cook after a day on the slopes. The bedding was excellent, showers and toilets worked well. Our host Toshi really made the stay exceptional, he helped us wherever he could, dropped us at the lifts each day and made it really special. Location was excellent, with a shuttle stop for the other mountains 2 minutes walk away. The on-site Onsen was also great and worth booking after a long day. Can’t recommend this stay highly enough, truly 10/10!

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Beautiful log cabin with the bonus of your own Onsen style bath. Plenty of room for family of 5. Very comfy beds. Only minutes walk to free shuttle buses to all ski resorts. Five minute walk to several chair lifts. We arrived after lots of snow so felt like we were staying in a winter wonderland. Snow rental shop just around the corner and The Pub right over the road. Daily shuttle to do supplies run to local supermarket. Loved our stay here would be great to come back with another family as you can join the cabin next door.

The chalet is clean and spacious, and very well equipped with a proper gym and large kitchen. Also love the hot bath in the house which keeps warming the water up during a bath. Lots of spaces to hang around in groups. Staff are super helpful and friendly, and always responsive! The chalet itself is at a great location, it also helps that the host offers free shuttle service to almost everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

The chalet itself was excellent. The facilities were modern and new with all the kitchen amenities you need. It is also located in a great spot that offers panoramic views of the mountains. It is also close to the Hakuba Valley shuttle bus Hakuba stop, which made it easy to get to and from the slopes for skiing. We would recommend this chalet to anyone looking to stay in Hakuba. We will definitely be back.

This place was fantastic. Mountain cabin in a distinctly Japanese style. It's not especially walkable but Toshi will shuttle you around the valley, including to Happo One ski resort. Just need to take a taxi if you're trying to get back after dinner time. Private onsen was really nice. Toshi and his wife were wonderful hosts, easily recommend.

We loved our stay. The cutest little log cabin in the woods with incredible staff. Each and every one of you put in so much effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We loved the shuttle service! And the restaurant, yes yes yes! The venison was 10/10!

The location of the chalet is close to Echoland - a short 5-10 minute walk to cafes, restaurants and bars. It is also nice and close to a shuttle bus stop for Goryu ski resort. The property is wonderful. It was clean, spacious, easy to check in and out of.

The chalet/cabin was exceptionally comfortable. It was spacious, modern, warm, and had every fitting, utensil and item you could need. It was so thoughtfully designed with high quality finishing, it was luxury! The location was amazing, beautiful views of the ranges and surrounded by rice fields (snow covered for us) - it was so picturesque! Close to shops, restaurants and slopes. And the owners Yoko and Kazu were BEYOND kind and helpful. An absolute must stay! Our favourite of all three weeks (and 6 accommodations) across Japan.

We loved our stay- we are a family of 4 and took 2 rooms in the hotel as opposed to the chalet. It was clean, comfortable, staff bend over backwards for you and the facilities for pre/ post skiing were perfect- the warmest boot room ever! We had shuttles all over the resort whenever the staff were free to help us they were amazing. I have never been so upset to leave such a brilliant hotel crew! Mimi’s degustation, the Italian crew in the restaurant and cocktails (Dante- best cocktails we’ve had!)
