We initially planned a 4-day stay at Samalanka Boutique Hotel, but the captivating allure of this place made leaving impossible, extending our retreat to a full week. Located in a breathtaking locale, the warm hospitality from the staff, Malin (the manager), Sudeera and Sarath, made our experience exceptional. Malin treated us to a nutritious breakfasts featuring fresh fruits, omelet, bread, and spreads. The standout was the exceptional coffee, arguably the best we've had in Sri Lanka. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, Pink Elephant in Unawatuna delivers meals promptly at reasonable prices. The option to use the kitchen for personal cooking is also available. Situated approximately three kilometers from Habaraduwa, the hotel provides easy access to essentials like Cargills, restaurants, and the beach. We opted for scooters from Easy Bike, but the staff is more than willing to arrange tuktuks for convenient transportation. For those seeking a relaxing escape in the South Province of Sri Lanka, we wholeheartedly recommend Samalanka Boutique Hotel!

Nice and cozy place. Hidden in the garden not far from central street. Railway station, frut spot ant tuk-tuk parking are close. The owner and his wife are kind, generous and honest people. And what wonderful breakfasts they serve!!!!! With fruits and local dishes. The owner built this cabins by himself during the coronavirus period, so everything is new and clean. We spent their 3 nights, and can recommend it for longer staying.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this eco resort in the middle of a bird sanctuary is absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning—so calm and picturesque, with wildlife everywhere you look. Waking up to birdsong and seeing so many colorful species up close was just magical. Honestly, the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had. Every meal was packed with fresh flavors, and you could tell they use the best local ingredients. It was a treat every single time! The staff were amazing—so kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They made sure everything was just right, whether it was helping plan nature walks or catering to special requests. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. This cabin is perfectly located - close to Ahangama junction and the beach but also quite and a little bit apart from the busy parts and noises. The host is very friendly and attentive and the breakfast is amazing. All in all it was a great stay and I wish I could've extended!

Everything! The food was absolutely delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Make sure you ask for sri lanka breakfast. The pool is a lovely area to relax and is a lovely temperature and the staff are always on hand for anything you need. Even going as far as getting suncream from the village and bringing us to our next destination. The room was perfect for what we needed. Small but comfortable. Had a nice shower, too. I would 100% recommend this to anyone
