I had a wonderful stay at this new container hotel. The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

We loved the location and the really nice view. As there were so many bad ratings we were supprised how amazing the accomodation was. Everything was clean and the price for such an amazing view is unbeatable.

We spent three wonderful nights here in May. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and are equipped with everything you need. Cabins are heated with electric heat and there is also a wood stove if you’d like to have a fire. The location is fantastic – tucked away on a hillside overlooking the historic Stalheim Hotel and the surrounding mountains and an easy 15 minutes drive to Flam. Flam can be busy with tour buses and cruise ships; Stalheim feels like a world away from that. Marit was a great host. She greeted us when we arrived and gave us lots of great information about the area and suggested things to see and do. This place is really something special!

Amazing nature around, train access and possibility to travel to Myrdal. The route to the train station is indeed could be hard, more like a climb. The rooms and facilities are very basic, but that is ok if you plan to spend time outdoors, sauna is a big benefit! Note that in off season it might be tricky to go back down from the place, because weather could change fast and snow could start surprisingly. Overall super place and also the Aurora lights are visible!
