Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, free BBQ facilities and a free airport shuttle, Saltbush Retreat is a 3 minutes’ drive from Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Qantas Founders Museum. Absolutely wonderful stay at Saltbush. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly man (his name escapes me) who gave us a great recommendation for a butcher so we could get some steaks for dinner. The entire place is cozy and rustic. We didn’t use the baths but they looked so cool! Rooms were spacious, our cabin looked out onto some grass with kangaroos grazing, which was a delight for our 9 month old. It had everything we needed, including wine glasses, I only wish we’d bought a bottle from them! Highly recommend, we had a lovely little stay :)

What a fantastic accommodation, a beautiful setting, the sunset was fantastic and heaps of bird life to look and listen to. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, gorgeous linen and comfy pillows. The BBQ area had everything we needed, we love the solar lights for the paths. Highly recommended

We kayaked on the shallow, warm lake for both sunset & sunrise & times in between - even those of us less inclined towards water sports had fun with it. Kangaroos everywhere. We also made use of the bbq on the deck with the big outdoor setting for dinner. Owner was friendly & popped in with updates as relevant, as well as to welcome us & introduce himself.

This was our final stay in Australia and it was 150% worth it. The place is very remote, relaxed, peaceful and in the middle of the forest. If we only knew, we would have stayed longer. This is a little peace of heaven. Lilian is great! We loved her, such a nice, one of a kind lady and host. We hope to come back soon and stay longer. The bed was cosy, big large room, great patio surrounded by nature.
