Exceptional Japanese/Western breakfast. Sooo many choices. Free shuttle bus to the airport terminal. Easy walk over from the train station. Good price ( family of 3 for £89 a night incl. brilliant breakfast buffet & airport shuttle. Aircraft staff stayed over tgere as well. They wouldn't chose bad hotels!

The Celestine Gion has is a gem, it has calming atmosphere, lovely, spacious rooms and luxurious public bath. The amenities were the beat we had experienced in Japan so far, make sure to try the night gowns. A family of four we had 2 neighbouring rooms and it worked great. The location is a little off the beaten path, however the neighbourhood is old, authentic, close to some of the shrines. The hotel provides a shuttle to / from Kyoto station.

Clean and comfortable. Complete kitchenware to cook for a simple meal. There are washing machine so you don’t need to bring extra clothes, save your luggage space. Less than 5 minutes walking distance to Kiyomizu-Gojo train station. 10 to 15 minutes walk to Sannenzaka. We can even walk to Kawaramachi area which takes less thn 20 minutes. Fresco Ohashi supermarket open 24 hours is only 700meters away. I will definitely come back here. Reception/check in counter easy to find. They provide 1 way shuttle to the apartment.

Everything is good except that the outdoor pool closes at 5 pm, and the location is far away from the station. You can take the free shuttle, but you can only take a taxi if you arrive late. Taxi in Japan is costly.

From the moment we walked through the door it felt great. The staff were friendly and informative. The rooms were clean. There were free shuttle buses available to take us to a couple of tourist sites. You could use a washing machine and dryer as well as have a free cup of tea downstairs. It was a 2 minute walk to the subway with easy connections everywhere.

Internal hotsprings, very very comfortable amazing Japanese twin room with magical river view and amazing wooden bath. Good to gave a shuttle to and from Kinosaki railway station. Staff sweet and kind

I hope to return sometime soon, as our stay wasn’t long enough. The room is spotlessly clean, spacious, and the extra large bed very comfortable. Excellent shower and deep bath, well supplied with toiletries robe slippers etc. Decor with a nod to the past, with wooden shutters and furniture. Great bar on top floor, excellent and abundant breakfast. Gym was well fitted out and not busy. Location with easy access to public transport, restaurants, etc. All staff are well trained, professional and polite. Value for money? Best in a long time.
