Location is the key to the success of this place but we really enjoyed the accommodation. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, spacious lounge area, clean toilet and lovely garden would make it a great stay anywhere in the world. Added back gate from the garden to the boardwalk where you can see the penguins, the fact that you can actually see penguins from the garden itself I just can't find any reason to complain. This is a fantastic place to stay.

Attention to details !! Superb , little extras like yogurt and eggs and fruit provided. Abundance of towels, linen and bed so comfortable. Wood was provided for fireplace and Morso fireplace was stunning as we had rain and was chilly.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Chartfield Guest House. The staff were all friendly and helpful on our arrival and during our stay. The room very pleasant and airy with stripped wooden floors and white bed linen. The breakfast we had on our last day was delicious, as was the coffee. We would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect. You are in walking distance of some very nice restaurants and bars, and the fish market is certainly worth a visit.

Nice large room with a very comfy bed and a good shower. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and they were happy to arrange something for me on my final day when I had to leave early for the airport. (I also used their taxi/shuttle option which was great). All of the staff I met were really friendly and helpful, they try to provide a level of customer service that has all but vanished in the UK these days.
