What made my stay unforgettable was the warm smiles and genuine hospitality of exceptionally friendly staff - Deline, Angel and Armstrong. For accommodation in Oribi Gorge, this is a perfect place.

The luxury tent also features outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. The staff! Everyone we met was friendly and eager to make our 2 nights memorable. The room was incredible and is among the nicest I’ve had while in Africa. It’s right up there with the top lodges in game reserves. They had no issue bringing you down to the parking area anytime we wanted to leave and they were always available to pick you up upon returning. The pool and bar area were great to relax around in the afternoons and the quaint living and dining room was comfortable to spend time in during the evenings before dinner.

Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area. The accommodation is non-smoking. The flat was top notch. It was clean & my family really enjoyed, especially the kids. My husband is still crazy about the braai area. The walking distance to the beach & malls was amazing. The area was just lovely& quiet.

With mountain views, Zulu Rock Lodge - Babanango Game Reserve is situated in Ulundi and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Our stay at Babanango Game reserve at the Madwaleni River lodge and Zulu Rock Lodge was an experience we will never forget. The Lodge is a fantastic " tent" with all the comfort you can imagine. Our Diner was served as a private dinner at the libary, in the winecellar and other places. We also had a suprise breakfast outdoors in the wild, absolutly fantastic. Under the guidance of one of the best experts, mr Eduan Balt, we enjoyed the gamedrives in the morning and afternoon. We never learned so much during all those gamedrives in our whole life. Special thanks to Lungelo, Lunka and Ntombi and everyone of the staff , they were all very friendly and forthcoming, This was a once in a lifetime experience.

The air-conditioned chalet is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and toaster, and 1 bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided in the chalet. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Everything that you need for a perfect weekend getaway. The tent is more spacious than expected, with a well equipped kitchen and two sizeable rooms. The unit was immaculately clean, with fresh linens, towels and extra blankets provided. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Highbourne Cottages is a recently renovated chalet situated in Winterton, 10 km from Monks Cowl Country Club. The chalet, set in a building dating from 1940, is 34 km from Winterton Museum and 50 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.
