A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

The hotel was great our family room was massive, very comfortable and clean with amazing views of the mountains. The staff were so friendly and helpful on the front desk, in the restaurant and at the bar. The spa and pool facilities were great and the kids loved the pool and so nice that it is still warm when outside in the cold.

The hotel has the most refreshing design concept. Nestled by the bridge, right next to the Old town, the location makes them absolutely in the centre of everything. I can't say enough about the hotel staff. They were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient adding to the charm and value that many travelers, including us, truly appreciate. The hotel owner, Vivienne, is always around and bought true value to our experience, making us experience hospitality that we have found nowhere else. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a buffet that offered a very nice selection making us feel both indulged and at home. Their lobby has a combination of a Coffeeshop and a Bar- Serving the most amazing coffee(secret- they have their own house blend!). with unlimited coffee for hotel guests they made us feel so pampered spoilt and hooked!! The Bar Mixologist curated the most amazing cocktails for us, some from locally sourced breweries. Alongside, a welcoming atmosphere with beautifully designed and furnished rooms, they have spotless, super silent rooms, highest quality fixtures and appointments. If we are fortunate enough to return to Salzburg, we will absolutely stay here again.

Me and my partner stayed at Romantikhotel over Christmas for a few days. Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning, set up in the mountains with gorgeous views over Salzburg. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff into the cosy bar area and checked in to a gorgeous room, the beds were SO comfortable, absolutely spotless and nice and warm. The food was outrageously good, in particular the steak tartare was the best I have ever had and we couldn’t fault the service, all wonderful and very relaxed and recommended us beautiful wines to drink. Our flight home ended up being delayed and the staff were absolutely wonderful and were very luckily able to let us stay an extra night. I’m so pleased we chose Romantikhotel to stay for Christmas, it was honestly stunning and can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 service, 10/10 food, and 10/10 room - would 100% stay again. If you love your walking and hiking there are also plenty of walking trails to do from the hotel, and the staff were all so helpful with providing us maps and explaining the easy bus timetable to get into Salzburg to explore the city (or you can walk approx 1.5hours to get into the city). Thankyou all SO much for making our Christmas so perfect, we will be back!
