I have been visiting Bellingen since the 1970s and it has gone through many changes. We have family in the area. It became a trendy town and had a number of interesting shops and eating places. After 4 days in Sydney we were looking for some down time and Bellingen fit the bill. A funky small town with good restaurants, nice shops, good scenery locations within a 45 minute drive and even a nice 18 hole golf club with available club rentals, basic but adequate. I just love Bellingen.

It was bigger than I thought and had quite few eating venues...
It was bigger than I thought and had quite few eating venues. There were a couple of bookstores and several clothing stores in what looked liked heritage buildings.
