We had a spacious suite with a kitchenette on the first floor with a balcony facing Pirate Bay. Great view, wonderful updated furnishings and appliances. They even provided soap for the sink, dishwasher and clothes washing machine which were all in suite. Excellent value, exceptional venue with the hotel literally over the bay a 2 min walk to the beach. It was centrally located on the Tasman Peninsula to all our activities. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! A+++

It was a very pleasant stop during our long trip in Australia. We enjoyed meeting Alan and spending a night in his lovely home. The house is beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail, and very comfortable. We highly recommend staying here.

Amazing location and services. Such a peaceful place to stay at. Has a little kitchen with a beautiful view. Also has a washing and dryer which came in really handy cause we were soaked in the rain that day. We highly recommend you to stay here if you travelling around port Arthur. Close to port Arthur and the cape tracks.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel. We booked the Deluxe Twin Room with sea views and stayed in room 23. The view from the room was so stunning! The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and easy-going. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and, despite them being fully booked, the food came out relatively quickly and was quality. Would definitely recommend to others and was sorry we weren't staying longer.

Krista had covered every base; everything was perfect (bandaids, yoga mats, chilly bin (esky) & picnic rug, lollies & chocs, extensive breakfast supplies, outdoor gas bbq - even an ongoing jigsaw! A stunning unit with an expansive deck and wonderful views. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Such an amazing place! Excellent communication all along from reservation to during our stay. We had the best night's sleep - really comfortable bed and completely silent at night. The stars in the night sky were amazing, we spent ages stargazing before going to bed. The other stars are the cows! Huge thanks to Rod who gave us a great tour and let us get right up close and brush the cows, they were amazing, such lovely animals. All the while the hens pecking around us too, and the friendliest dog tagging along as well. Couldn't have asked for more and we were sad to leave. If we were coming again I'd stay two nights for sure, especially when you buy a ticket for Port Arthur Historic site and it can be used over two days, because it's just a few minutes down the road. Highly recommended!
