East Ballina area has something for everyone. A surf club and patrolled beaches, child friendly riverside swimming areas, restaurants, cafes, pubs, coastal walks and views. The airport is only 15 mins away by car. Plenty of folk out walking dogs, or riding bikes too. We recommend Capiche at the East Ballina Surf Club. East Ballina has a fantastic off leash dog beach.
East Ballina has a fantastic off leash dog beach. Good cafes and restaurants. Loads of walking tracks and clean beaches. At the end of the breakwater we saw a large pod of Dolphins and further out we could see whales breaching. Shelley Beach was the best for swimming.Guest review byEarlAustralia - 10.0

A lovely little dog-friendly location, with a massive dog off leash area and close to the dog beach en route to the pretty little riverside town of Ballina. Very quiet place.
Very quiet place. We had trouble finding somewhere to eat as a family and later in the evening. Beaches weren't all patrolled - but it is just start of the season so that is understandable as well. We saw dolphins swimming.Guest review byJulieenAustralia
