Shipka is a quiet village at the foot of the Shipka memorial...
Shipka is a quiet village at the foot of the Shipka memorial church. It was central to all our sightseeing and easy to locate. There are a few restaurants, shops, bars and even a pet shop. We enjoyed walking around the church and the village in the mornings and evenings before we went about our day of sightseeing to nearby attractions and towns.

In the short period we stayed, we managed to see all the sights around the town. The responsive staff advises us on how to get around everything so that we don't waste our time and where they cook the most deliciously so that we don't go astray. Luckily for us, the place to eat turned out to be no more than 15 minutes from the hotel itself. The short walk between the hotel and the restaurant gives an opportunity to see a small part of the city, revealing part of its unique charm.
On the negative side of things, I would be hard pressed to describe any. I would be lying to myself if I said we experienced any kind of inconvenience.

Nice located, just near "Valley of the Thracian kings", you...
Nice located, just near "Valley of the Thracian kings", you can visit the Thracian Thombs / tumulus that was excavated until now, you can visit the Roses Fields (if you are there in June / July) and the Roses oil museum in Kazanlak, do not forget to visit also the beautiful Shipka Orthodox Church.
And of course, Buzludha and Socialis Torch monuments, also the Shipka Peek monument need to be visited!

A lovely hotel in the mountains. Excellent service, views, food, and facilities.
Staff super friendly, including the reception and restaurant. Rooms very comfortable, clean, and with great view to the forest. Restaurant, while a bit overpriced, serving good quality meal , and drinks. Excellent choice of wines, and liquor.
A couple of scenic tourist paths, cristal clean air.
Didn’t try the SPA but it is there😄.
Lovely woodwork on the walls and ceilings. Even the TV at the reception was framed with it!
Will definitely come back!

Beautiful place, top quality throughout. Everything provided and the attention to detail was amazing. Very short 5 minute walk up the hill to Shipka Church which is stunning. Host was very pleasant and gave us information about the local amenities.

Very friendly welcome and easy to arrange time to meet to get the keys to the property. A really beautiful and traditional cottage in a central part of the village and a nice walk to the Shipka church. Very clean and comfortable.

Lovely building on a quiet street in Shipka. Swimming pool in back yard. Balcony overlooking part of the town. Very clean. Nice breakfast. The lady of the house even drove us to a great restaurant.

Absolutely everything. Friendly shopkeeper/reception, excellent position for those who are seeking the best thrills around Shipka, great value for money, very nice and comfortable.
