Great host, constant communication. Just wanted a place to relax for a few days after a long trip from Italy back to Germany. Perfect for this, and the Chur area is charming. Recommend the 1.5 hour drive to the Santis mountain, and taking the cable car up for stunning views and hiking. Liechtenstein and it's famed castle very close as well. (30 min).

Beautiful hotel and location! We arrived on Monday, which means the restaurant is closed but the hosts still made us some food and it was incredible! Also loved the breakfast. The room was very nice and spacious.

1. First word - The views are FANTASTIC from the corner rooms. The Panoramic windows gives an amazing landscape view of the city and mountains. 2. Spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms. 3. Great supply of toiletries. 4. Just 10 mins bus ride to the main Chur station (bus #6 - every 15 mins - right from the entrance of the hotel). 5. Coop supermarket located in the same building as the hotel. 6. Just 5-6 mins bus ride to a nearby Sri Lankan restaurant (Chutney) - must try if you are into Indian/Lankan food. 7. Very nice hotel with a good breakfast and comfortable beds. It is a bit far from center but a big plus of the hotel is that for a very law price you are given a guest card which you can use for public transport all over Chur and have discounts for Brambuesch Bahn and free entrance to some museums and other places of interest. And it is very significant as prices in Switzerland leave much to be desired. The bus stop is a few meters away from the hotel Sommerau. Also, despite the fact that the hotel is in the suburbs and close to the main road, you almost don't hear the noise due to the good isolation.
