Chaitén a lovely little town.
Chaitén a lovely little town. Its volcanic history is awe inspiring. Really interesting. Lots of places closed though, and it’s summer!! Seems a bit like a ghost town at weekends. We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. Francisco met from the bus and dropped me off at the bus stop when I left Chaiten. The cabin is really comfortable with lots of natural light. Any questions I had were quickly answered.
