The whole experience of this hotel is very special. The arrival was a little difficult intially, as the location is a public site, with a market, bakery and restaurant, but it is all part of the charm and experience. Upon checking in, we were given a tour of the rooms (we had the suites booked), which was very helpful to show us all the features, especially the sauna in the main bathroom. The rooms being located in the main building makes access to all the amenities very easy, and the market store having everything from local produce and meat to locally produced goods, gives non-locals an opportunity to purchase local goods, while the restaurant offers a large locally sourced menu. The rooms were very well appointed, plenty of space and exceptionally clean. The sauna in the suite bathroom was a fantastic touch, that was used in the evening and in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the separate shower and bath provided a nice luxury touch. The following morning breakfast was varied and delicious, despite there being no warm options. The fresh products from the in-house bakery were delicious and really added to the feeling of the locally source products.

All the staff were terribly friendly. Breakfast was great and an excellent choice of everything. Did not use the Spa or Gym Did enjoy that you could walk from the hotel through the garden gate to the town and to a great small museum.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a rough travel day and they were all too happy to help us with a reservation in the restaurant and help us both relax. Dinner was delicious and the Peafowl was especially flavorful. The selection presented many local options for different tastes. I only wish we had the energy to stay up for dessert! The bathtub- top notch. While we spent only one night on the property, we fully enjoyed our room and the breakfast the following morning. The chef managing breakfast was very attentive and spoke English with great humor. This hotel is a must stay for the staff and quality of care. I hope very much to return.
