The hotel is ideally situated right to next to the port in Cala Bona with various shops on the same road. Calla Millor is also only a 15min walk from the hotel. Hotel Sur was ideal for a small family getaway, great staff, good rooms and fantastic air conditioning

The location is brilliant and the main reason we booked it. Near to bars, shops, and the sea. It was huge and very private. The pool was very good and was cleaned while we were there. We spent a lot of time in it and it so nice being able to swim in the evening. The gardens are massive and we didn’t even use the other side where the pond was. There were more mosquitos that side too and I personally think it would be better without the pond. There was a decent ping pong table too. I liked having the laundry room, which is located outside near the shower room off the kitchen. There are some unusual items around the house. My grandchildren enjoyed playing the piano. It is pretty much just as all the photos and videos show online.

The staff here are brilliant especially Manuel who was so helpful to us and even upgraded us to a beautiful room at the front where you had a stunning view from apartment and bedroom. Place is spotless and just a few steps bring you directly onto the beach and walkway to all restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay here. There was never very many people around by pool so it meant pool time was very tranquil and peaceful which suited us.

    Cala Bona is a lovely resort, very flat and seemed...

    Cala Bona is a lovely resort, very flat and seemed accessible. We used the resort hoppa transfer which was great value and a lovely air conditioned coach. Cala Bona felt really safe and friendly, favourite bars were Gaby's, The Music Bar, Hotel Sur Bar and Smithys. Prices varied but on the whole were a little cheaper than the UK, special mention for Becky's Baguettes which we enjoyed for our lunch a few times. Calor Millor is easily walkable and has a good range of bars and restaurants and an Aldi for any emergency bits like extra sun cream!

    Such a great place for those with mobility issues, very flat and plenty of places for hiring mobility scooters. Also so easy to walk from Cala Bona into Cala millor which has quite a large beach area and many shops and bars. Regular buses to all nearby resorts. A lovely place to visit is Porto Cristo, takes about 1 hour on the bus or you can go there on a boat trip instead. In Cala Bona many hotels have entertainment but most noticeable is Hotel Sur sports bar with nightly entertainment, and always a good atmosphere. Lovely varied restaurants located around the harbour, all reasonable and very friendly. Janet & Johns is very popular.

    Cala Bona is a beautiful little harbour.

    Cala Bona is a beautiful little harbour. We were part of a large group so had to make dinner reservations in some restaurants otherwise its a quiet enough resort made up mostly of families or older couples. You can wander to Cala Millor (about 20 min stroll) if you want more shops, restaurants etc. Porto Cristo is beautiful and bus to and from it runs right from Cala Bona - definitely worth a visit! Pay by card on local transport - it's near half the price!

    this is a very nice 4 star hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the location is perfect, next to the sea and near the harbour. It is clean, lots of towels, great shower. The swimming pool area is nice but the pool is too small for a proper swim. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel. The health centre or at least the exercise machines should be open earlier for example at 7am because people who exercise often do it first thing before breakfast. the staff were nice and friendly and everything is clean, the t.v. was big and works fine. And at the back of the hotel you can sit by the sea for an evening meal or breakfast with a wonderful wonderful view, you are right by the sea. There are souvenir shops near and other hotels. There are also a few supermarkets near - BIP and Spar- The bar area is intimate and nice. I think it's good value and I would stay again but I would try to get a room with a sea view.

    Lovely little town with a pretty marina.

    Lovely little town with a pretty marina. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. Easy to use coastal cycle path. We cycled to S'Illiot for lunch with our children (12 and 8) which they found easy enough. Lots of bike rental options in Cala Bona.

    Lovely location, beautiful port, but I have limited mobility, so couldn't walk far. The nearby beach where I could walk to couldn't be accessed because of rocks and my mobility, but there was a more sandy beach a little further along. Hotel was lovely, but small shower room and not enough toiletries (We only had hand luggage). On departure, they were great. Had a luggage room and shower room (No charge) so we could freshen up before we left! Fantastic! Would def return

    Quiet and restful location in a beautiful rural location, beautiful gardens . Only short distance from the seaside resort . (10 - 15 minute walk , half of which is down the hotel drive or around 5 euro by taxi). Lovely pool with lots of sunbeds.
