The owners were very nice and welcoming. Suggested many places to go eat and things to do. They offered an unbelievable home made breakfast. I would return any time and suggest to anyone to have this experience. The room was very quite and comfortable as well. It offered us a quite time escaping from the day to day reality

Everything - the hospitality from Julio and his daughter, Julia, who speaks perfect English; the tasteful renovation of the property; the tranquility; the beautiful views; the excellent dinner; the pervading feeling of luxury....It was an unexpected gem! I was unsure after reading reviews but without grounds. The access is via a metalled, windy, but perfectly adequate road; there is a spacious terrace with comfy sofas and sunshades and views and a bar service to enjoy a g&t whilst looking at them; a pool with those same views. The dinner is bought in from a local restaurant of some renown and has to be ordered before 3pm on the day of arrival. The 3 sharing starters plus dessert were certainly enough for 2 people and were both surprising and delicious. Most of all, what has stayed with us was Julio's extraordinary kindness and passion for both the property and its history and the local food and produce - it seemed like nothing would have been to much trouble. As a note, there is free parking on site. The owners do not stay on site overnight which did not bother us.

    Jalon is a thriving town, especially the Saturday market (...

    Jalon is a thriving town, especially the Saturday market (flea and artisan). When we visited (Jan 2025) it was a sunny day so the market was huge, it brings in a lot of people. The Jalon Valley is also popular for cyclists, and there were many cycling teams training along the valley's roads during our stay. We enjoyed seeing people out and about in the area cycling and visiting the market. Jalon has many wine shops (Bodegas) where you can visit and have a look at the enormous wine barrels, and make purchases! We really like the Jalon Valley and will be visiting again asap.
