The location was in small village on the border with Norway, perfect for viewing the northern lights. The food was gourmet and impeccable. The staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers daily activities. The hotel itself was very well appointed and every detail was well thought out. The beds were a bit soft for my taste, but that was the case for all the hotels we stayed in Norway and Finland.

Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Cabin 31. Comfortable and furnished in good style. The big window facade with a view into the forest is amazing. All very clean. The little kitchen in the cabin is well equipped to cook small meals. Supermarktet is around the corner. Cheap and very good breakfast is available in Tundrea restaurant. Parking directly in front of the cabin. Totally recommended.

Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience. The village is located in the far north of Finland, in the heart of Lapland. Hiking trails are well signposted.

Hiking trails are well signposted. The supermarket at the center is very good. Public transport connections could be better but the twice-daily bus to/from Rovaniemi is very reliable. Tour operators organize day tours to the Acrtic Sea in Norway. They sound good but unfortunately were cancelled in summer 2021 due to the covid crap.

The facility is great and has a wonderful location with a picturesque lake view. It is suitable for people who are looking for a peaceful place to stay with lots of outdoor activities. Some of the trails are within walking distance (starting near the Kilpisjärvi Visitor Center) or even right behind the house, and some are just ~10km away (e.g., Saana trail, Pikku-Malla, and Three-Country Cairn). Tromso is about 2.5 hours away.

The staff was friendly and the sauna was nice. Also, breakfast was good, but a big minus was that there wasn't shampoo and hair conditioner. Only one soap for hair and body. Previous night we were in Sokos Hotel, and it was cheaper and there were all those things what I mentioned.. so comparing what we got, I felt that room expensive.

We loved Kilpisjarvi and our stay at Tundrea Resort. A beautiful place (and the only one), where we spotted the Northern lights on our trip! It was a memorable experience for us, probably one we will cherish for a long time. The staff was very accommodating, and we felt well taken care of. Thankyou Tundrea!
