- the location is amazing, at the top of the hill surrounded by snowy trees and a frozen lanscape - the Luxury Birdhouse is so beautiful and spacious, and the private hot tub is a very nice touch in freezing temperatures - the staff were very friendly and accomodating, I appreciated their flexibility since I had some dietary requests and they fulfilled all of them - the food is delicious, the Giant Soup is probably the best soup we've eaten and the veggie meal I ate for New Year's was fantastic - snowshoes and sleighs are free of charge and there are very beautiful trails around - although it's situated in an isolated area, you can find two well stocked supermarkets, a pharmacy and other basic facilities at about 20 min drive

This fabulous hotel in the center of the little town Kajaani was way beyond what I had expected. The staff was so friendly and helpful. My room was clean, very modern and the bed was extremely comfy. I really didn't want to leave. Lunch and dinner in the downstairs restaurant were outstanding. Something I would have expected to find in a big city.
