Salo is a small place with everything essential. It has pharmacies, shopping malls, restaurants, a river, and a McDonald's, to begin with. It is stunning in autumn. Salo is a small town between Turku & Helsinki.
Salo is a small town between Turku & Helsinki. Not much to do in downtown Salo, unless you like pubs and kebab restaurants. Lots of beautiful nature nearby Salo and you can enjoy Teijo national park's offering a quick car drive away. It has a fascinating history-it was the design centre for the Nokia 3310. It is owned by a philanthropic couple who developed it into a humanitarian organisation for Syrian refugees and more recently Ukrainians. And now a great hotel.
