Where we stayed was a restored castle. It was wonderful inside. The staff were very helpful. The part of town we stayed in was quaint and very walkable. I would have loved to stay longer. We ate at a small Crepery that was right around the corner. You have to be there early and make reservations. We did it online and almost didn't get in. I have stayed in Mercure hotels before and not been impressed but this excelled itself with their outstanding staff performance, incredible garden courtyards, architecture (1188), interiors and lovely small pool. Their location was hard to beat too - right next to the main square. My room was 207 looking into the courtyard garden and fountain. It was actually excellent value when I compare it to other accomm bookings on my trip. If you have a couple of days in Figeac, I would recommend a stay here.Guest review byAndreaAustralia - 8.0
An old town with friendly people.
An old town with friendly people. Ample facilities listed below, albeit I don’t remember names of places where we ate and shopped. Walking the often narrow lanes are interesting, as is the whole place. Only criticism is the lack of parking space unless you walk about a kilometre uphill. It is a lovely stone building with a medieval feel that has been sympathetically restored. There is a lift which was helpful for my wife in particular.
