Seriously the best location one could ask for in Mont St Michel, quite literally the closest possible to the monument. Having breakfast with unobstructed views of the Mont St Michel through the huge windows is a truly majestic experience. On top of that, rooms were very large, with all amenities provided (water, bathrobe, etc). Reception staff were very helpful and were on the spot and ready to assist us even if we arrived after midnight. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough for a grand Mont St Michel experience.

The place is magical and very special.

The place is magical and very special. Enjoyed walking around the village and also on the grounds as well. The people there were very kind and welcoming. If staying on the island itself everything does close around 6-7pm and most of the tourists leave. This is a great time to go walking around taking photos and just enjoying the atmosphere. Most places don’t open the next morning til around 10-11am so don’t expect an early breakfast. Just an fyi, if you’re taking the train and the bussing system, you’ll have to walk across the bridge to the village on the other side. It took me 40 minutes(with luggage) to get to the bus stop. The Abbey itself is beautiful and it took me about 2 hrs to get through. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I look forward to returning one day with my family.

A must-see on the northern Normandy/ Brittany border.

A must-see on the northern Normandy/ Brittany border. Explore the twisty, narrow, steep streets. Step back in time with a visit to the abbey and enjoy delicious seafood- moules frites- overlooking the bay. Highly recommend

We arrived in late afternoon at hotel and toured island first in evening hours - great idea as less crowded and still light enough to wander the streets and alleys. Toured the abbey the next morning - around 11. Already getting crowded - should have started earlier. But well organized and flows well within the Abbey. Well worth the visit to see this unique and historic structure - magical.

A mesmerizing place that provides delights at every turn. This place is not recommended for people with mobility issues. Not only is it geared for people with the stamina to climb stairs and rather steep roads but the oppressive crowds make maneuvering, even for the able-bodied, difficult. Particularly avoid visiting in July and August, if you must gear your visit to the early morning or the evening when the tour bus crowds are away.

One of the most beautiful locations of the French seaside,...

One of the most beautiful locations of the French seaside, matched with one of the most spectacular Castle/Abby I have ever encountered. I would place this even with Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. If you drive to the hotel, avoid the initial parking lot and call ahead to receive the code for your stay. You will be able to park much closer to your hotel room.

Really nice staff, they helped with everything. Early check-in was possible, so one does not have to carry the luggage around Mont-Saint-Michel. Beds were comfortable and the hotel/night very quiet. Furniture and bathroom looked quite new. There is a partnership with a restaurant that offers typical food from Normandy and a good breakfast. Private parking lot during the stay, but I did not use it as I was walking. Overall a very pleasant stay.

It was a great experience to stay on the island overnight. During the day it is extremely crowded and honestly not that pleasant. At night, it empties out and we took the opportunity for a very early morning stroll. The hotel has a restaurant as well, which is open in the evening. Overall a great experience.

Great location: in front of bus stop, near cafes. Has a parking in front of entrance. Breakfast not included in price, you need to order it additionally. If you are not taking breakfast, you can have croissants/coffee in brioche doree, which is only 50m from hotel.
