The people we met in the hotel and sports hire shop were friendly and helpful. The village itself is a very traditional looking French village, but like many of them has very few facilities. In the winter it gets no direct sunshine from mid-afternoon. The Nordic ski runs up the valley to Arsine are lovely and well looked after. The ski area at Arsine is quite lively and convivial, with people gathering there to rest and chat and go for a drink or meal after their skiing.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The apartments is placed in an astonishing surrounding. Mountains and lakes everywhere. Villar d'Arene is a small alpine village which has got all the necessary facilities: bakery, restaurants... The flat is very modern and quiet, ideal to relax and recharge batteries. Kitchen is equipped with modern accesories and a big table to enjoy meals. The balcony is ideal to comtemplate the mountain. The breakfast was superb, so nice to be able to squeeze your own orange juice, and there was plenty of fresh fruit and pastries and a variety of breads. The balcony was large enough for a table and 2 chairs plus a deck chair. And the big plus was a small clothes line with pegs! Great for travellers!
