We wanted a quiet break with good amenities which we found in plenty. We walked along the beach before breakfast each morning and even saw a small pod of Dolphins - superb. We visited out of season so it was quiet, not a great selection of eateries in the evenings, although the pubs that were serving had great food. Local Spar didn't sell any alcoholic drinks so you need to go further afield for this. Nice location for touring the rest of the area as well, easy access to the Giants Causeway and other well known places. Clifftop walk experience at Giants Causeway was excellent. Book ferry over to Rathlin island - remote island but nice for a windy walk! Perfect spot to stay with Children. From here we explored Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Cushendun Caves, Thor head Dunluce Castle and the Glens of Antrim, but the area has lots more to offer also, the area has Outstanding Natural Beauty. The view from the back garden was a very nice surprise! The road into Ballycastle has no pavement for a short time, but it was only 15/20 minutes walk for dinner with a taxi home at the end of the evening.
