This was an exceptional stay - communication was fantastic with the host, she was really friendly and responsive. Bow cottage was exceptionally well presented and impeccably clean. The bed was really comfortable and the shower (particularly for an electric shower) was great! There were lovely welcome touches from the host which was lovely. It was lovely and warm and very cosy. There aren't any other cooking facilities than a microwave so not suitable if you want to do proper self catering. Will definitely stay again!

Staying in a place on the pier was nice: we barbecued there while the kids were crabbing. The place itself is a little outdated, many closed restaurants (in a bank holiday weekend in august...) but we had a car there so we went elsewhere. Beautiful little beach, cosy flee market on sunday.

Was disappointed with Bridport itself,but really liked West Bay,photos we thought were of Bridport are in fact West Bay,the harbour is at West Bay,,was luxky to be there during a festival, 2 days of great live music and ended with a wonderful firework display

We liked Bridport very much and were impressed with the...

We liked Bridport very much and were impressed with the Green Yard Cafe in Barrack Street. We also had a good meal at the Bull Hotel and The Greyhound. There are good walks around the town and a sense of Wessex history pervades the place.

We had time to visit Bridport, while we were there the market was on. It was wonderful walking around the stalls with all sorts of great goods to be had. Plenty of stands for eating too. So much to see and do if you are visiting. Some good walks around the outskirts of Bridport, beside the river towards the brewery.

We’ve been to Bridport many times, it’s a beautiful old market town and well worth a visit on a Saturday when the market stalls are out. There are lovely independent little shops, lots of art and good eateries.

Bridport is a bustling market town between Dorchester and Lyme Regis. It is ideally placed for the Jurassic coast, east to Weymouth and Portland, west to Lyme Regis. Many shops, the usual chains but also many independents invite the shopper. There are also at least three dog-friendly pubs. On the Saturday I was there, a street market was in full swing with many interesting stalls. I travelled with my dog and was delighted to discover (as was he) an extensive nature reserve within short walking distance of the town centre - very unusual. I am biased because I have a long-term love affair with Dorset, but I can't wait to visit again.

I enjoyed my one night stay here in Bridport. Perfect location for everything, great cafes and restaurants nearby, superbly fitted out and very swish room! The breakfast was fantastic and filled me up for my day of walking and sightseeing the Jurassic Coast at West Bay and beyond. Very friendly staff, let me leave my case at the hotel early in the morning, then check in properly later in the day. Great stay.

The hotel was absolutely stunning and in an amazing location literally, 5 minutes walk to the beach and you can walk all the way to west Bay via the cliffs in 20 minutes. The staff were lovely and friendly. The facilities were amazing, our room was clean, tidy and with a great view and the bed was perfectly comfy. The breakfast was well... to die for. We couldn't of ask for more !!

Friendly staff, lovely hotel and dog friendly. The hotel is Ideally located to visit the jurassic coast. Breakfast was great with a good choice of options. The pizza and burgers were great for an evening option but only served from Thursday through to the weekend in the lovely garden bar.

Wonderful sun-trap garden with beautiful view to watch the sunset. House is perfect location for exploring Bridport (5 minute walk) and surrounding area. West Bay beach is either a walk or short drive away. Property has a lovely vibe and everything you need for a great getaway.
