Cozy environment and the staffs are friendly. Breakfast (we asked for cut fruit and toast) was good too. Top it all we thanked the chirpy chap, Dal for making we feel at home. Highly recommended!

Easy check in (there were 8 of us arriving at staggered times). The receptionist was really helpful with advice on return transport from Edinburgh - very knowledgeable lady. Loved the old architecture of the building, large rooms and clean fluffy towels.

The location is great, quiet but close to shopping, bars, food and places of interest. The hotel is unique, loved how the ships features have been incorporated to retain the authenticity. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made it feel special. Extra little touches are always appreciated and Fingal gets that just right. Food on board is excellent and highly recommended. Fabulous place to stay.

Friendly staff starting with reception and all the way to the serving staff in the restaurant. My partner has food intolerances and when mentioned to the serving staff both at dinner and breakfast they could not have been more understanding or helpful. Lovely room with great views of Edinburgh in the distance and of course the Firth of Forth.

The staff were incredibly hospitable and entertaining. Katie-Leigh is funny and a talented artist with her caricatures. Sean insightful and knowledgeable about Kirkcaldy and his use of Gaelic, and David was efficient with drink orders. All were amazing staff. It's a shame that my time was limited and I had to leave the next day.

A very poor hotel choice.

A very poor hotel choice. No heating in room and extremely cold. No hot water. Very dangerous looking oil filled radiator in room which needed condemning. Food undercooked and expensive. Even manager said standards were very poor.

Very cozy small town.

Very cozy small town. Despite it's size, it has everything that is needed. Everything is accessible via a short walk. The area felt very safe. The beach was nice for a walk as well. Lots of people went there with their dogs in the morning and evening. It's easy to go from there to Edinburgh via train. The journey to Edinburgh Waverley took about 30-40 minutes.

amazing views across the Firth of Forth. beautiful village and amazing country side surrounding. the beach looked amazing though we did not get the weather to enjoy it but you can see the it is very safe as even at high tide the water is shallow a long way out. good restaurants and lovely village. We all loved it.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy. It turned out to be further away than we hoped (15 minutes drive) consequently we had little time to look round Burntisland but it seemed to offer little for a visitor in January. Hotel was a bit out of Burntisland and we took a walk in one morning but unfortunately the railway blocked the view and did not allow for walking along the beach

We stayed 6 nights in Burntisland, by the 3rd day, we felt like it was "our town". Everyone was so friendly. Once we told anyone that this was our first time in Scotland, they seemed eager to answer our questions and suggest little things make our visit more enjoyable. There are no chain restaurants or businesses in Burntisland. That (and the cheerful people) is what makes it such a charming town. The Links Fish and Chips was The BEST

Very clean room and new ensuite bathroom. Very good price. Overall, the hotel has the feeling of an old hotel that is in the process of being restored. But I also liked the older feeling of the hotel, such as the pictures of Burntisland in the past.
