The accommodation at Prestonfield House and the quality of service is out of this world. From the rooms, decor, setting and grounds to the quality of the service, food and staff, I would say a rating of 10/10 is too low. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will go down as a special moment in our memories. And we are definitely planning to return.

I loved this hotel so much! It was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Our room was very large and very on theme. We were there at Xmas and the hotel was decorated beautifully. There was a lovely bar area as well as a delicious restaurant. I didn't want to leave! It was a magical stay. There is a bus stop at the end of the very long drive with very easy connections into the city. The walk to the road is quite long...especially in the dark though.

very friendly staff, clean room and facility, spacious and very quiet, dinning at the restaurant is very convenient and the food is good considering there isn't much going on near by at night. best thing is it is within walking distance from the hiking trails (I did two hikes to Arthur's Seat), you can also walk around the campus - a very relaxing environment

We had a spacious room at the bottom part of the hotel, window into the garden. Very quiet place, which we both loved. We had our own fridge, and a lovely large bathroom with many little useful treats. Breakfast was very tasty and rich, everything was fresh and plentyful. After the check-out we could leave our stuff at the reception and go roam the city for half a day, which was very appreciated and saved us a lot of trouble. Thank you!!
