the location was a bit out of our way.
the location was a bit out of our way. As there wasn't any quick available taxi around we walke for miles to get there from our Cotswald trail. The hotel staff wasn't too helpful solving the issue. Beautiful pub garden and setting, with good food and helpful staff. You could sit in the pub garden and have a lovely evening, but the area is like a Richard Curtis film. Lovely friendly welcome and we were shown to our room which was upstairs (not expected). Bedroom characterful with ball and claw foot Bath (no separate shower). Lovely fluffy towels and nice toiletries but no bathrobes. Mixed experience of main courses in restaurant but dessert was outstanding. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast menu was satisfying as well. Since we were a group of four, we stayed in a duplex house that offered a good balance of privacy between the two bedrooms while still keeping us close as a family.
