The hotel is comfortable and homey. The location is a 10 minute drive outside of town, but a lovely quiet area. The view was spectacular. Our room was a good size, nice decor, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was roomy, clean and had a luxurious feel. The dining room, where we had breakfast, was spacious and nicely decorated. The food choices were varied and everything was delicious.

From the moment we arrived, the welcome was of the highest standard. Our room was impeccable, spacious, spotlessly clean, and with a very nice view. For dinner, there are two excellent options: a four-course menu in the main restaurant or an à la carte menu on the terrace. My husband and I would especially like to highlight the outstanding service provided by Hamish, incredibly kind, professional, and discreet. As for breakfast, what can we say? Excellent quality, attentive service, and a clear dedication from the manager, Moreen. We will definitely be back. A great stopover for those on a road trip through Cornwall — perfect both as a base for exploring nearby towns and as a relaxing retreat on its own.

There was not very much we did not like about our stay, we asked to change rooms due to noise and without hesitation, we were upgraded and had a balcony sea view. The breakfasts were fresh and more than adequate. We had guests from outside the hotel join us for breakfast and they were well received. Our visits to the spa were timed to be at the quieter parts of the day and we always left feeling refreshed and energised.

Interesting independant shops, great places to eat )vegetarian and vegan(, lovely beach and close distance to other interesting seaside towns. We enjoyed the live music venues and the young buzz of the town against the background of historical interest. The maritime museum, the castle and great places for children to run around .... if we had any with us!! A late night Tesco express was also very convenient!

The bus service is good - so well worth using it as parking in Cornwall tourist spots is difficult. The ferry rides to surrounding areas are well worth taking. It's a student town and so quite lively but everyone we met was extremely polite and friendly. Town kept very clean by CCC.

Due to one of our group having recently broken her foot and arm we were very restricted but enjoyed candle painting with Kia at Outerspace where i was able to drop her outside. A very enjoyable relaxing activity. Found a lovely carpark at St Dennis with amazing views to sit in the car eating our pasties while the weather gave us its usual cornish 4 seasons within 1 hour .

Falmouth is a lovely Cornish town, filled with independent shops and eateries that make browsing and chilling out a treat. The river, the Marina and Maritime Museum add to the ambience and it has the added bonus of a regular ferry over to St Mawes. The Pendennis Headland, with it's wood lined paths that give glimpses of the sea, is worth having a walk out for to see the star fort and small castle. From here you can access short walks through very mature woodland with gorgeous old trees throughout the headland. Worth a visit.

Was visiting Falmouth to listen to Simon Armitage poetry reading. Travelled alone as my daughter got caught up with a work event. Being in such a friendly, comfortable hotel with the phenomenal estuary view at breakfast meant I felt very v relaxed and happy on my own. Every member of staff I met was kind, helpful and cheerful. Even the lady vacuuming the upper corridor smiled and chatted to me and took the time to show me the way to the breakfast along a labyrinth of long corridors.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinners had superb dishes with some disappointments, such as a poor duck terrine. The unique remarkable feature of this hotel is its location. It is set in a subtropical paradise. A breathtaking garden with so many unexpected trees, bushes, shrubs, flowers . All lead to a cove and the sea with views of Falmouth
