There are lots of sites to visit in the area and local walks. We didn't do any visits as we had celebrations planned. Spoke to others who had done walks and participated in he local half marathon event on Sunday. We watched some of the proceedings as they were near the hotel. A large beautiful house/hotel situated in large well kept grounds. I stayed for two nights only as I was attending a wedding. A perfect wedding venue! Updating and redecoration is needed in some areas but this did not spoil my stay. The bed was very comfortable. My room had large bath and excellent shower. Beware when running the bathroom sink tap as the water extremely hot. Breakfast and dinner prices were in my opinion rather expensive All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. We stayed in Inverurie as we were attending a wedding close by in Old Meldrum. Inverurie is a small place with one main road which pretty much has everything you need on it. It is a very pretty town.
It is a very pretty town. They have a market once a fortnight, which sadly I missed. There are many beautiful walks around the town and along the river, with lots of birds, wild flowers and trees to see.
