Very clean,bright, spacious and comfortable. Central position in Loftus on the high street. We were in the Slatern apartment. Good sized living kitchen area, large double bedroom with en-suite and 2nd bedroom with en-suite.

This place is 10 stars! It's a stunning property absolutely immaculate. It's very spacious and stylish. Could not recommend this place enough. All the staff and the locals made us feel incredibly welcome.

I booked the apartment very late in the day but was able to contact the owner by phone. He met us at the property and provided keys. Sam the owner was welcoming to us and left fresh milk (unfortunately we didn't use it) and bottled water in the fridge. A nice touch also he had provided biscuits. The flat was immaculately clean, with a wonderful large bathroom and bath. Overall it was a really comfortable stay. Also safe off street private parking available.

The hotel was filled with interesting and quirky things and had a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were lovely. The food was delicious, and there were a variety of beautiful areas to dine. My mother and I enjoyed a traditional high tea. Outdoor areas to relax with a drink under a tree or afternoon tea on the balcony. They had an interesting lift to take your luggage up. Our twin room was spacious and clean. A.short walk to the sea. Lovely experience. Highly recommended.

    Loftus has lots of great places to eat, plus several good sized grocery shops. Great public transport links, ten minute drive to bigger shops. Thirty five minute stroll to the beach, convenient distance from Saltburn, Whitby and Middlesborough.

    Loftus provided us with good shops for stocking up for our self-catering stay. We noticed that the accomodation prices in Loftus were generally more affordable than, say, down Runswick Bay, but Loftus still provides a convenient base for walking and exploring down the North Yorkshire coast.

    Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to enjoy Loftus, it would have been great to have a look around. The little area were we were staying was very clean and tidy, quiet with everything we needed.

    Loftus is a friendly town.

    Loftus is a friendly town. There are some lovely homes in the town and a number of attractive eateries and pubs. Mainly, the town is a great base for exploring the coastal region and nearby countryside whether walking or driving.

    The estate surrounds the Grinkle Park Hotel and so insulates it from the village proper. Our stay was too short than to permit a drive-through, but looked pleasant. A very pleasant stop-over en route north to south or vice-versa.

    Nice town with the access to the coastal path.

    Nice town with the access to the coastal path. Short drive to stunning Staithes and Runswick Bay. Saltburn only 10 min away and Whitby is about 20 min drive. Co-op on the high street does fresh baguettes every morning. There is also nice cafe on the Hight Street, only few minutes walk from the house.

    Situated above a lovely gift shop owned by the couple who also own the apartment. Loftus is a great base for visiting the nearby towns of Saltburn and Whitby, great regular bus links right outside the apartment. Also a handy supermarket across the road. Spacious apartment with everything you need for a self catering break. Watch your head upstairs if you're above average height, as low doorways and beams, my partner learned the hard way 🤕.

    The house has recently been renovated to a high standard. There is plenty of living space with 5 rooms downstairs, which is great if you are travelling with extended family/ a large group as it’s great for mixing and socialising. Bathrooms were new and bedrooms recently decorated with new bedding. Loftus provide easy access to Staithes/saltburn and Whitby. Thanks Richard and Angela for a great stay 😊

    The beds and sofas were really comfortable and the apartment was very clean. Loftus was ideally located for our 4 days’ hiking the coastal path. Handy Morrison’s Daily and a Coop just over the road.
