The host cancelled on us late at night, after faking pretend delays to check in. We went to the address he gave us and it was a grocery store. The whole thing was a scam. Still no refund. We have notified our bank that it was an unauthorised transaction and briefed a lawyer to commence proceedings if necessary.

London - well, what can you say! It has everything.

London - well, what can you say! It has everything. You can spend a lot, or you can do as I did, and walk everywhere and see the sights and the people and spend next to nothing. You can use you credit card on the underground, and your payment is capped however many trips you take on the underground. Just keep an eye on your phone/wallet/handbag as London has pickpockets as every other large capital city has!

London is huge and everybody will find interesting places to visit. Fastest way to move around is undoubtedly the Tube ( Underground ), however avoid afternoon peak hours; it's difficult to board a train and pickpockets are in full swing. Bus is a good way for sightseeing if you have a lot of time and don't mind traffic jams. If you don't like crowds, try less visited places like Petrie museum of archeology ( ancient Egypt ) or Alexander Fleming Museum ( discoverer of penicillin ). If you like eerie places, take a walk under Thames along Greenwich Foot Tunnel or Woolwich Foot Tunnel.

The people were very friendly.

The people were very friendly. It was very nice seeing London all decked out for Christmas. We stayed in the Hyde Park Area and felt safe day and night. We never felt uncomforatble anywhere we went. The Underground was pretty easy to use and made getting around town very easy.
