Louth is a small city with history, with lots of different restaurants. It's not too busy in terms of traffic, there is freeee parking available. We wanted a quiet family short break with dogs and the place was very nice. It's in the middle of the forest. There is no "Disco". There is a lot of RAF activity during the day if you are interestest in. The beach is not far and there are quiet one's and busy one's; it's up to you. The little markets, indoor and out. St James' Church. Fab, cluttered bookshop in the indoor market- interesting owner-a must visit if you like books. Louth is a fine town.
Louth is a fine town. Fantastic speciality food shops, some of the best cheese’s and finest pork pies in England. Visit the church and climb up into the roof, a brilliant experience and only a moderate amount of fitness needed. The surrounding countryside and villages are delightful. Louth is one of my most favourite towns in England. Venture 40 miles north across the Humber bridge and visit Beverley Minster, it’s stunning.Guest review byDavidAustralia

The lodge was exceptional in that it had everything needed for a short or even longer break. With the weather being so good we just wished we'd booked a hot tub. You are a stones throw away from Louth Town Centre, 15 mins from Mablethorpe and 15 mins from Woodthorpe if you love a great garden centre and a bit of dinosaur spotting. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the town centre. The poached eggs for breakfast were cooked to perfection and presented so well. It's full of charm and not your usual bland hotel.
