The Capital of Northern England

With an industrial past and a modern outlook, the complex fabric of Manchester is interlaced with interesting museums, English pubs and shopping centers.

Dash straight into the luxurious Selfridges and Triangle departments stores before checking out the old-English charm of the Shambles.

We were visiting a relative in the hospital, so this wasn't a holiday. The people of Manchester are very friendly and helpful. Like all cities, it is noisy and a bit hectic. Try to avoid big Match days as accommodation can be hard to find and more expensive. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, and in our experience, the quality of food and service is good.

I really liked the atmosphere, I love the red brick buildings, the autumn colors and scents. The people were nice. I saw a few good exhibitions and one or two bookstores. Transportation, well, that's not easy! You have to walk a lot! :-)

The Maldron is in easy reach of the cathedral, aldrin shopping centre and is a short walk to the theatre. The staff are lovely and very helpful. They do a lovely poached egg and porridge at breakfast. Lots more we could say, but in brief, eat drink watch, definitely look upwards at the mixture of buildings, relax and enjoy your time at Manchester Maldron!

OMG !!!

OMG !!! My 3rd trip to Manchester since June as my daughter relocated from Devon to start her dream Job. The most exciting city for me, way above London, the buzz of media city with everyone doing things for 'others'. & the community which is unheard of in other cities here in the uk. Eateries, bars, restaurants from all over the World at your fingertips with amazing Theatres, including an Opera House !!! All on your doorstep !! Brilliant clean efficient trams, FREE Libraries, FREE museums!!!??? AMAZING !! Most of all the the people of the North..How many places can you lose your mobile phone with 4 credit cards & a £20.00 note in it at a Fireworks display with 3,000.00 people only for it to be handed in in its entirety!!! ??? :)))) My neck of the woods in Devon (Particularly Torquay) would not be so honest FACT !!. From the road sweeper, to hospitality, bars, shop workies SOOO helpful & genuine!! I LOVE YOU ALL & THE CITY !! CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN & TO SEE MY GIRL SO HAPPY :)))

Cornation Street Experience was a hit.

Cornation Street Experience was a hit. I would also recommend the Imperail War Museum which was located right next door. Printworks in the city centre is worth a visit, we ate in Chiquito Mexican restaurant, food was delicious and the staff were friendly.

I stayed at Wilde Aparthotels Manchester City Centre while in town for an Oasis concert (of course!), and overall had a great experience. The location is excellent – close to all major train and bus stations, which made getting around super easy. The hotel itself is clean, beautifully designed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. One highlight was the bed – it was incredibly comfortable, one of the best I’ve slept in! Other than that, everything was great – I’d still recommend it and would consider staying here again!

The pub itself is really nice the food is fantastic and the drinks are a good price not expensive. it's only 4 miles away from the co,op live arena and really cheap compared to the city centre hotel prices uber rides are about 9 quid and are so close by your not waiting about for long

I recently stayed at the Clayton Hotel in Manchester City Centre and overall had a positive experience. The location is excellent: within easy walking distance to most of the city's major attractions, shops, and restaurants. It made getting around Manchester incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and modern, with very comfortable beds that made it easy to relax after a long day.

The only good part about this hotel is it's location. It's easy to get to from Deansgate or Manchester Oxford Station and a stones throw from the city centre.
