As a Central-European the building looked historicaly British. (The interior and exterior too.) The room was clean. Once we opened the window we had perfect airflow. The dinner in the restaurant was great. We had the best fish and chips there.

Very interesting hotel, incredible surrounding including deer visits, loveley room, stylic decorated. The staff was very kind, the breakfast Perfect. When we are once more at this part of England, we certaibley will come back.

The quite area and the flexibility(Late arrival) and friendlieness of the staff. The Pod-room, and the shower- and bathroom is also very comfortable, clean and very nice, inclusive veranda. Everything(beautyfull villages, great landscape, gardens and interesting historical locations of british art(e.g.Victoria Wolf)) in the area is good reachable.

A little hidden treasure. Most tastfully and same time practical furnished apartment. Perfect for short or longer stays. Has everything one could wish for a couple or a single. Beautiful area, lovely host, extremly clean and modern! I Just loved it! Also very good internet, in case someone might need that for some home office.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have mobility problems, which they addressed. They also waived a need to book food in advance for our party, which was above the limit for general bar service.

The lack of maintenance generally, broken radiator covers, equipment not working and not repaired/replaced when reported, threadbare carpet, bathroom fans and towel rail, mould and dirt in the nonventilated bathroòm, damaged wallpaper, hole in the walk, standard of redecoration very poor and long overdue. Breakfast adequate but the duty chef, 21/10/23. Needs to be retrained, the standard of the food at dinner on 20th was not good with one of our party having to wait ages for his meal. At the moment October 2023 this hotel cannot be regarded as adequate as its 4 star listing and after spending over£400 for a 2 night stay with dinner 1 night I feel let down especially as it was a treat for my wife's birthday. I have lodged a complaint, time will tell!

We had one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in with everything in it we could possibly want. The staff were wonderful. Happy and friendly and attentive. The hotel is very old and beautiful and has lots of lovely character.

A very nice and traditional hotel, in a beautiful location. Service was very good and friendly and the food, included with our booking, was very good. We liked the historic accommodation very much.
