Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Peace and quiet. Heating was on and it was nice and warm on arrival, with log fire set up ready to light, a couple of beers and milk in the fridge...and a box of Malteasers! Clear instructions for everything in the cottage, plenty of games, chess table, sky tv with Netflix. We had a lovely night and would definitely recommend. The area around Sedbergh is lovely with plenty of walks and places to explore. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We are a retired Australian couple on a cycle touring holiday. The property was only a few metres from our route and we were able to securely store and charge our e-bikes in a nearby shed. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was fine. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful.

Most comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. Beautifully decorated room and bathroom. Quiet and cosy. Lovely staff. Great food. It was streets ahead of the other inns we stayed in and great value.

Great apartment close to the Lake District. Prices are "good" considering that everything in the Lake District is super expensive. The self-check-in worked fine; we got multiple emails reminding us how to do that.

The cottage has been renovated to an extremely high standard in keeping with the age and past history of the building. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and helpful. The bedroom was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were great facilities. There is a washing machine, microwave, hob, and oven, amongst other things. Parking for one car is right outside the door. The cottage was very cosy while a storm blew outside. A little home from home, this is the perfect setting for a couple to explore this area. We will definitely return.

Belated review we stayed earlier in Autumn; wonderful cottage, extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail. Excellent parking. Great location in the lovely village of Millthrop just down the road from Sedbergh, with walks from door.

Plenty of walking up various hills, lots of bookshops to...

Plenty of walking up various hills, lots of bookshops to browse, had the chance to watch Lancashire cricket match on the school cricket field while we were there. Several pub options all serving good food, we mostly went to the Red Lion but tried them all ☺️
