I didn't take breakfast, but I saw what was served and it looked very tempting. We dined there and the quality was really superb. But you need to book, it gets very busy.

Loved the bar, great atmosphere and decor, food and service excellent and reasonably priced , friendly locals..especially Pip the border collie! Room was superior, lovely view, huge comfy bed , very impressed...nice stroll to the waterfall.....would absolutely recommend

Been to the Rose And Crown previously, it’s very quirky and the staff are very attentive and helpful. The food was really good and breakfast was lovely. Great walks in the immediate vicinity.

    It's exceedingly pretty, and for a tiny village has a lot of...

    It's exceedingly pretty, and for a tiny village has a lot of life (pub, small shop, tea-room, gift shop/art gallery. There are stunning walks in every direction - two of them seem to feature in every book featuring 'Best Dales walks'. It's maybe not as easy to get about the Dales as some other villages... but why would you ever leave Swaledale?!
