We felt so at home from the moment we arrived Nigel & Robina were wonderful , we felt so at home . It was great to be off the beaten track , yet close to stately homes , quaint villages , all things Jane Austin and an hour from Portsmouth. The house is so beautiful , we enjoyed learning about the history . Personalized service at breakfast , excellent food . Robins recommended the nearby Ye old George Inn for dinner . We loved it and food was excellent. Bed was soft for us but we just prefer a firmer bed . Lovely grounds to explore . Easy parking right in front .

Relaxing stay in a quiet location on a country estate outside Petersfield. The town centre and shops are a short drive away. The accommodation was warm in winter weather and heating levels can be adjusted. We had a lovely overnight stay. Room 5 has a nice period character vibe with lovely historic features. Dinner in the pub was very nice indeed, and of generous proportions. We found the bed very comfortable, the room was clean and fresh, the best equipped with everything we needed, and more besides. This has been the best stay over we have experienced over our entire six weeks holiday from Australia, even the heating worked beautifully!!. We would recommend the White Heart to anyone needing comfortable accommodation. Thankyou, John and Sue Turner.

I used to live in Petersfield over 20 years ago and had not been back since. It was even more charming than I remember and has even better shopping facilities, but also good to see some shops still going after 20 plus years.

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back...

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back fairly regularly to visit family and friends. It’s a lovely market town and there is the Heath Lake which is very scenic. The shops have improved since I last visited and there are now some very good bars/restaurants. We ate mostly at Wetherspoon because we had to eat out a few times. The food is good and a very good price. There is a railway which gives easy access to Portsmouth and London.

I actually came to meet up with family. I fou nd the area well located for visits to other towns and villages. It is such a lovely area I was only there for two nights .We ate at the restaurant at Sky Park Deer Farm. There are excellent pubs and restaurants nearby

A pleasant small market town with good facilities.

A pleasant small market town with good facilities. Within range of national Trust properties, and other towns like Minstead. Good road and rail connections, but watch out for the "average speed zones" particularly on the A272 !!

A charming village near the glorious South Downs.

A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!

Friendly welcome. Very clean in the public areas and the bedroom. Very comfy bed and good sized room and bathroom. Good quality coffee machine in the room with a range of coffee pods. Simple check-in and check-out. Biker friendly. I was able to park behind the hotel on hard-standing which was safer for my bike. The free self-service breakfast provided a great variety of choice of items as well as tea, coffee, fruit juice and water which gave us a very good start to the day.

The hotel closed at 10. Entrance after 10 pm was via a back door accessed by a code to be inputted on the door. The doorway was completely dark and the panel the code had to be punched into was completely obscured by the dark and impossible to access. It was an unacceptable and unexpected.
