Well, perhaps you shouldn't ask me as I'm fairly local and just booked in for an occasion next dr. Biased where P'cawl is concerned as I've lived there in the past. It's always been a v popular holiday destination in S. Wales and as seasides go in our country I'd say its one of the best. The town where the shops are has gone down hill a bit over time but then it's the same everywhere. I'd recommend P'cawl much more than a certain seaside town where a famous sit com was filmed!!! Just my personal opinion of course.

Beaches were good and town centre had good variety of shops and cafes. Local people friendly. I was.born and grew up in Rhondda so nice to revisit the area but regret my choice of accommodation and left early.

its a beautiful seaside place, excellent sand beach.

its a beautiful seaside place, excellent sand beach. Sad to see the fun fair will no longer be there next year, with out this , it will lose its family Attraction. Get the feeling the area is looking to appeal to another class of person, rather than the traditional family visitors.

Lovely long walk l along the sea front with lovely grass areas with lots of seating. Only negative is that Sunday evening eating places were limited. Other days one had plenty of choice. The public areas are clean and well maintained

Although the main attraction has been the Fairground for years, there is plenty to see in Porthcawl. There are some lovely independent shops as well as the usual high street types. There is also a wonderful Museum that is situated in what was the Police Station, a must visit if you are a museum enthusiast. The beaches are a lovely place to take children where they can also explore rock pools. There are plenty of walks in the area, with a nature reserve and plenty of public houses to take a breather at along your walk. There is also Trecco Bay, a wonderful caravan park, if that is the type of holiday you want. They have a Pavilion with loads of entertainment. There are loads of places to eat as well, with the usual fish and chip places, and restaurants too. A great place to visit.

Small Seaside Town with an adjacent huge holiday park - literally a town of two halves - the old town is compact, bustling and has small side streets full of genuine shops as well as seaside vendors and restaurants - we didn't go into the Holiday Park area so I can't comment on that. The Seafront itself is NOT for swimming in - in fact its banned on safety grounds due to tide and rocks - - but looks wonderful as the tide grows over the rocks - there are sandy beaches either side of the town that are popular. Expect it to be nicer when the Promenade Esplanade Pavilion, currently under renovation, is finished. Surfing school to the north, by the Golf Course. And anywhere you can pay for a whole days parking on a municipal car park for less than £5 is going to be a winner

The cottage was warm and welcoming and had everything you could possibly need, whilst on a break. Milk, welsh cakes and fresh flowers to make us smile. The location to both Sandy Bay and porthcawl was so easy to either walk or drive to. Everything in the cottage was beautifully presented, with the softest bath towels I've ever used. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Thank you Mr Thomas for ensuring our stay was special. We will be back Angela, Peter and Bella 🐕

Staff are great, they're welcoming and polite. Location is excellent. Clean throughout. We had a large corner room with fabulous sea views this time. Stayed here a few times now just for short breaks because the price is fair, location is perfect, right on sea front and the staff are great. Free hotel parking is fab too and just a few minutes walk into town.
