Staff were exceptional with the two ladies at reception just amazing. I arrived with a little bit of an issue (nothing to do with hotel) and they were just so empathetic and lovely. Food was amazing, prices a little higher than the norm, but the food was so worth it. All the staff, no matter how young, were just class acts! The only issue I had was that we were only here for one night. Can’t recommend this place too highly.

I had the most wonderful experience at Treloyhan Manor! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the breath taking views and the peaceful, elegant charm of the building. The manor itself is full of character, with beautiful period features and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always happy to offer local recommendations or just have a pleasant chat. My room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated – I especially loved waking up to the sea views through the large windows. The surrounding gardens and the short walk down to the beach made it the perfect base to explore St Ives and enjoy some tranquillity away from the busier town centre. Overall, Treloyhan Manor exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem that combines history, comfort, and outstanding service in a truly stunning location. I wouldn’t hesitate to return – highly recommended!

A pleasant surprise to find this accommodation in a historic village right on the coastal path and only 10 mins from St Ives. Glad I stayed here instead of the busyness of St Ives. Fabulous location, steeped in history - the local church next door had an interesting story. Adjacent to a very friendly pub with nice food.

The hosts, Izzy and Rob, are very nice, open and friendly people. Izzy even gave us some toys for our little baby to play with on the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much, a really nice plus is the little gadgets like shortbread and milk, beer and other drinks. All was perfect.

Great to explore full of little twisty lanes. Art & history everywhere! Buzzing even in Nov BUT also easy to walk out into LOTS of space - beaches coast paths & sea from all sides. Great food - good to check out choices before you arrive & book some in advance.

St Ives has relaxed, artistic vibe.

St Ives has relaxed, artistic vibe. The locals were friendly and there are great independent shops restaurants. The beach and harbour are fantastic and a great spot to explore the countryside and Penzance and Lands End. Driving in St Ives is an experience- and you have to be brave on the roads off the main highways - very narrow and hilly!! The beach is great for windsurfing and there is a school on the beach. We had Fish and Chips from The Balancing Eel, where the service was excellent and the Fish and Chips wonderful.

St Ives is so pretty and chock full of independent shops and lots of beach access. The bay is truly gorgeous. Just strolling through the town, with it's lovely buildings, shops and eateries was a treat, but the beach and headland walks are amazing too. The walk up to and around the old church is a must. It was a very enjoyable visit.

St Ives is delightful and perfect in many ways wonderful light old not spoled town three beaches tho more populous than one realises its full of old houses and cottages windy street and always people are pleasant and helpful.. other visitors always kind and genuine. An honest and really near perfect place!wondreful mermaid resataurant..you have to book but extra special and actually very fairly priced. Wonderful beaches so many people have their beloved dogs. Getting around requires a taxi if you are elderly . Wonderful to go to beaches and delightful walks around the island or out of St ives towards Zennor Tate St Ives excellent

St Ives has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, on the beaches and in the town. There are plenty of places to eat - all you have to do is walk along the front to find somewhere, and there are lots of interesting little shops and art galleries. Finding your way around the town can be a little confusing because of all the winding little streets, but that is part of its charm. You can go on to the South-West Coast Path in either direction out of the town, but be prepared for some up and down sections the further you go. If you are travelling by train, a popular little branch line takes you from St Erth to St Ives. Check the weather forecast in advance and go prepared with layers of clothing. .A wonderful place to relax, in spite of its popularity. Wonderful light and views. My fellow traveller said, "Don't often feel sad about leaving somewhere" and that about sums it up.

We have stayed at Tregenna many times, mostly in self-catering accommodation but this was a shorter stay than usual so we booked a hotel room. The hotel is full of character, with wonderful views over the sea - great to have a room with a view - beautiful gardens, plenty of facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, and friendly and helpful staff. There's no need to visit Carbis Bay as you suggest: Porthminster Beach is a beautiful sandy beach at the bottom of the hill from Tregenna.

The Cabin is not on the hotel site but that for us was a good thing. others may disagree. It was spacious and cosy and Carbis bay had gone a long way to ensure our stay was really nice and gave us all sort of creature comforts not afforded in the main hotel rooms. For myself and my wife we very much enjoyed it with excellent access to the bus and train into St Ives. I would give it 11/10 had it not been for the bed so its gets 9, and I really wanted to give it full marks.
