The property was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was offered for an additional cost and was worth it. It was delicious. The owner was lovely and was unobtrusive which os something that gave me some anxiety before I arrived, but I had nothing to worry about. She could read me very well and knew when I wanted to chat and when I didn't.

Wow!! Without a doubt, it was the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Susan's attention to detail is superb. From her initial welcome to our departure , nothing was overlooked or too much trouble. Beautifully clean rooms with all the extras you could wish for, an absolutely delicious, well presented, full English breakfast . Proper, home laundered bedding that smelt gorgeous, which complemented the most comfortable of beds. You get the picture, I could go on and on, but the best thing anyone can do is to pay Susan's place a visit!! You will not be disappointed!!

    The property may technically be located in Smisby but in reality it is a part of Ashby-de-la Zouch...which is fine because Ashby is lovely. It was not too busy, well provided for in terms of facilities (shops, recreational (including a Lido), places to eat, etc) as well as a rich historical heritage (it has a castle). Lovely place.
