Shorehead Guesthouse was in the perfect location on Stonehaven Harbor. Paul was very helpful and gracious. Our room was lovely. Breakfast was basically a do it yourself operation in a very well equipped kitchen. We truly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

    Stonehaven is a lovely town with good transport links to the surrounding area. There are a variety of shops and places to eat with something for everyone. As regular visitors to Stonehaven we always eat at our favourite Indian restaurant, Carron to Mumbai. The art deco restaurant is beautiful and the food is exceptional. The owner and staff make you feel very welcome. I would recommend a visit.

    Stonehaven is a cute village with 2 pubs/restaurants. Not much to do but definitely a must see! The Captains Table restaurant was lovely and must be booked in advance as very busy and turning many people away.

    Walking along the sea front was lovely, it's clean and folk are friendly. It's a pebble beach, dog friendly and well used. The harbour area is picturesque, delightful to get a coffee and watch the world go by. It has a small sandy beach well used by families.

    An amazing gem on East Coast Scotland. Offers history coastal natural environment wild swimming . Amazing outdoor heated Olympic pool open in summer. Beach and Board walk with amazing sculptures. Harbour area eating places micro brewery ln the town Shops -local butchers delicatessens and cafes. Art galleries. Craft courses. Inclusive local and visitor events. Home of deep fied Mars bar great after wild swim?@

    I have been visiting Stonehaven every year since I was born.

    I have been visiting Stonehaven every year since I was born...(68 yrs!!) My gran and mum were from Macduff, so we stayed at the caravan site for many years then had a small cottage near the railway station where we also stayed. I love everything about Stonehaven, the town itself, the people, the harbour, beaches, walks and of course, gorgeous Dunnottar Castle! As long as I'm able, we will continue to return as often as possible!

    I believe it is packed in the warmer weather.

    I believe it is packed in the warmer weather. Not surprising as it is near to Dundee for RRS Discovery and the Cairngorms on the way to go monster spotting. The RNLI practise on Thursday and Sunday morning. The water is very cold. I won't ever be needing their help.

    Comfortable, clean room and ensuite bathroom. The hosts were friendly & helpful & nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The access to the kitchen, washing machine & tumble dryer was much appreciated. The self-help breakfast was plentiful & had a good selection. It could be taken at a time to suit the guest, which was great if one wanted to have a lie-in. Location was good and within easy reach of places if interest etc. It was also in a quiet area. I will definitely stay here again if in Stonehaven.

    The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station in Stonehaven, and although some distance from the town centre it makes a great location to use as a base when exploring the local area. The room itself was exceptionally clean, and the bed very comfortable. I left early in the morning before breakfast had been served, so am unable to comment on this. After checking out the staff were happy for me to leave a bag with them which I then picked up again upon my return to the train station.

    The hotel was in the perfect location, right next to the beach. There was lots of parking right next to the hotel which was a bonus. The room was cosy and clean. I was especially happy with breakfast as it had multiple vegetarian options for myself and tasted delicious. The woman who checked us in and served our breakfast was very friendly and made our stay even better. I will definitely be back if I ever find myself in the area around Stone haven again.

    The Ship in is right on the harbour so the view was great. Breakfast was really nice as were our evening meals. It has the perfect atmosphere for a stay in Stonehaven and was very reasonably priced.
