This was a beautiful self catering cottage, hidden away in the country lanes. A very relaxing area and surroundings. Good value for money in the area. A thoughtful breakfast catering for our dietary needs had been left by the owners in the kitchen for us even though it is self catering. We had bread, butter, milk, juice, yoghurt, pastries, cereals and preserves.

Hosts could not have done more for us, communication excellent from the start. Property was quiet, and clean - just what we wanted. Simple but adequate breakfast was left for us. Recommended!

Pretty, spacious room on the first floor. Spotless clean room and bathroom. Large double bed. Kettle for Coffee and Tea making placed in the room. Small sitting area with two relax chairs. A good and complete a la carte English breakfast is served in the restaurant which also caters for diner. The restaurant is popular with local customers. Evening diner was excellent and affordable (reservation is recommended). Free parking.

We stayed in a pretty little self catering cottage. A thoughtful breakfast pack was left for our arrival. The owners were friendly and welcoming and we arrived to find our cottage had a hot tub! A surprise bonus.

We didn't visit Thurning village itself but the area is very...

We didn't visit Thurning village itself but the area is very rural and consists of a network of small villages and hamlets linked with narrow country roads. Ideal for a secluded break but also not far from larger routes to the Norfolk coast and the larger town of Holt is only 10-15 minutes away. Most villages have at least one pub for eating so plenty of options - we dined at the Hunworth Bell which was excellent.

Love the cottage and its rural location.

Love the cottage and its rural location. Modern luxury in traditional surroundings. A whole cottage for little more than the price of a Band B room. Takes a bit of finding as the Satnav and Google maps disagreed about the routes to the farm. It is possible to be self-catering as the kitchen is well equipped, including a washing machine. Easy access by car to the seaside towns.

Good dog walking facility.

Good dog walking facility. It was far away from facilities with roads single carriage way. grass growing in the middle of some, no passing places. too far from pubs due again to the location, fine if you don't want to see a soul. I did not rate the area coming because of friends living not far. I would not return.
