A very lovingly furnished and nice hotel. Everywhere you look, there are small gestures that make the stay delightful. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite. We felt very, very, very comfortable. A complimentary lunch package is also included, very thoughtful.

The room had sea views and was adequate for one person. The Hotel was situated at the sea front and during the evening Live music played, everyone came into the Hotel before Guns and Roses played at the open air theatre, I enjoyed my stay very much indeed.

Apart from being a beautiful grand old hotel with quality furnishings, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The meal in the restaurant at night was perfect. We enjoyed the lavish breakfast in the morning as well. We loved the total experience of staying here and only wish we had more than one night.

A classy hotel and all things considered very good value, especially if you compare the price with the grand hotel next door. You can get three to four nights at the lansdowne for one night at the grand, and you can go into the grand for afternoon tea and take a long walk to the 'cloakroom' through the sumptuously adorned hall and corridors. I should also give a mention to the lovely breakfast at the lansdowne where we had kippers and poached eggs.and the dessert we had in the dining room. Just before closing was a treat.

Situated in some of the finest scenery that England has to offer. A walkers paradise with the Seven Sisters, Beachy Head, Friston Forest and Cuckmere Haven all in walking distance plus some beautiful little down land villages and great cosy little pubs

Great countryside round the property and in the Seven...

Great countryside round the property and in the Seven Sisters Country Park. Breakfast and one dinner in the property (as I wished). Buses to Seaford and Eastbourne are frequent. It's easy to be confused when ordering a taxi from Beacon Taxis in Seaford.
