Friendly town, clearly on the up, nice independent shops with only one or two recognisable chains spoiling the atmosphere. The Engine Shed is a cracking venue for live music - our reason for visiting. Breeze's Deli makes a lovely breakfast. Touchwood is a lovely old-fashioned hardware store.

Wetherby is a delightful town minutes away from the Days Inn hotel. It has a marvellous river and wier running through it. Parking was easy and the town is delightful with plenty of of eating places and an Aldi and Morrisons. Loved it there.

The venue had eating places nearby or you could go into Wetherby, if you wanted something a bit more formal. It is a very convenient place to stay. Wetherby is small enough to get round and find things to do.

Wetherby is an attractive market town with a long history.

Wetherby is an attractive market town with a long history. Nice for a mooch around the shops (varying from charity shops with good quality donations to some decent boutiques, a fabulous art supplies shop, and a great little bookshop). Lovely to just go and sit down by the river by the bridge in the summer and have an ice cream. The Wetherby Whaler is a good fish and chip restaurant and there is one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK on the High Street - the Bengal Lounge, which has won multiple awards. We often stop off if traveling up the M1 just for food! Easy free parking down by the river too. I can't really say that Wetherby has anything startlingly famous or 'must see' about the place, it is just a nice country town that is worth dropping into on your way to other places nearby. It's biggest attraction is probably the racecourse.

We were en-route to Edinburgh, this locations is great for a stop off on the way, Days Inn is easily accessible and clean, reasonably priced and the buffet beakfast is basic but freshly cooked and a good start to the day.

The accommodation was basic, no curtains in 2 of the bedrooms, very small. The bath/shower wouldn't drain away, we contacted host and stay to report this straightaway but it didn't get fixed even though they told us to leave our key in the key box every time when left the accommodation. The only positive is the location, I would not stay in this accommodation again, as it was too small, basic and the bathroom not working correctly

Spacious property in a lovely village, well placed for Wetherby park run, Knaresborough, Harrogate, Leeds and York. Comfortably accommodated 5 adults and the owners kindly configured the beds to meet our needs. Good communication throughout made everything easy for us. Plenty of shops and pubs nearby and great road links to explore the wider area.

A great remote location, the hotel itself was great, room was very clean and had almost everything needed. Food and drink in the spa was a little pricey but expected, however was very nice (Soup of the day with crusty bread and a cocktail went down a treat). Spa facilities were good to an extent

You get what you pay for, this was a basic hotel, booked because we had tickets to a gig in Wetherby. We paid £77 for a night. Uber to Wetherby centre was around £5. Bottled water and tea / coffee provided. No biscuits. The staff were polite and friendly but sparse.

Wood Hall Hotel deserves its high reviews. It's a reminder of how things ought to be orgnised at a time when the second rate is often tolerated
