I really liked how peaceful and beautiful the place was. The apartment was very clean and modern, and the private pool was perfect for relaxing. The location is great—close to Elafonisi Beach but still quiet and private. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt well taken care of. Great spot for a relaxing stay in Crete!

Holy Sea Smart Suites is like a five star hotel room; in fact it’s much more than that. A large parking for the car, a nice garden with a beautiful view of the sea and an ancient monastery. You can make your own breakfast in the morning with a high tech small kitchen or your aperitif in the evening during the sunset ( at least in June you will see the Sun desappear in the sea) All the forniture is branded new; led lights eveywhere, a large tv in case you want to see some movies. The Wi-Fi connection is perfect. Check in and check out have been very good; the owners speak a very good english; they built Holy Sea Smart Suites with love and knowledge. In the Elafonisi area it’s the perfect choice for your vacation. it's worth much more than what you pay.

I loved the peace, quiet and calm of the house. It's a wonderful break from the harsh sun on the coasts, but still at a perfect distance to Elafonissi (about 20 min drive) and other beaches for a morning or afternoon dip, with many great taverns and traditional product shops on the way.

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car,...

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling...

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Elafonissi beach is beautiful but can get very crowded. Paddle over to the island for more secluded areas. It is well worth the effort The taverna at Elafonissi village is excellent value for food and drinks with friendly staff who never make you feel hurried

We got tiny house at the end of the parking. It was lovely to sit outside on the veranda, overlooking the vast sky and surrounding countryside. Supermarket on the other side of the street. Very friendly cats everywhere. Close to the famous Elafonisi beach, which is best enjoyed before arriving of the couches from Chania.
