Everything is even better than in the photo, it's so nice here))) The beach is 2 minutes from the house, nearby is the Lidl shopping center where you can shop, a minute from the house you can rent a car) 15 minutes from the city center, a wonderful location, a chic modern design of the house, there is even a summer shower to wash after the beach. And most importantly, incredibly kind hosts who will always help and advise. This is definitely better than a 5-star hotel. Thank you.

We stayed 8 nights at Nancy Chara Apartments and it was a lovely experience. Nancy is very kind, helpful and was always contactable for whatever questions we had about the area. The apartment complex itself was extremely clean, tidy and pleasing to the eye. The pool was cleaned daily as was the area surrounding it. There are many sun loungers available to guests and a little area for refreshments, coffees and I believe food at certain times of the day. We stayed in a split level apartment and had a view to the North, overlooking the airplanes landing, it was nice to watch them all come in. The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. There was AC in the main room which worked amazingly and double doors out onto the balcony. A fresh sheet, two clean towels and toilet paper were given every two days as well as a cleaning of the apartment which was a lovely touch. Karteros itself is a small, quiet town which is a nice change from Heraklion city with its busy streets and is in very close proximity by bus. We did all of our site seeing by bus and it was very easy from Nancy Chara Apartments as the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away as are many small and bigger shops, coffee shops, restaurants and many beaches with loungers. We don’t have a bad word to say about our stay and we were even able to stay a few hours after check in as our flight was late in the evening which was extremely helpful. If we revisit the area we will definitely be back to Nancy Chara Apartments. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was situated in the most gorgeous spot, close to gas station, food spots- and not too far from the beach. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made it very apparent that my well-being was kept in mind- after a long and dreadful journey beforehand- I was nothing short of treated like royalty- they served me with a smile, and even a few complimentary treats. All the staff seemed to get along like family, and the place very much had a home-ly feel to it. The manager (I assume) was a wonderful woman, who didn’t speak the best of English, but tried her hardest to converse with me to the best of her ability, as I know very little Greek. Aswell as the staff being wonderful, the customers and other people staying there were lovely too- overall this experience was one to remember and absolutely lifted my spirits after a tiresome trip. It seems the AntiKristo Rooms are a magnet for all things good in this world- and I would absolutely love to stay again if given the opportunity, it’s no wonder they were fully booked :)

Karteros is a convenient location, especially because it’s close to the airport. The beach has some organized areas with sunbeds, but it gets very busy during the summer peak season, particularly on Sundays when many locals also head to the beaches. The sunbeds tend to get taken quickly, so if you miss out, you can still relax on the sand—but bringing your own umbrella is a good idea for some shade.

We were initially reluctant about the close distance between the airport and the hotel (due to the low planes) but not only were the planes quite a joy to see but it also gave us more time on our holiday and less time faffing about with transfers. The hotel itself was beautiful and all facilities were immaculate and well thought through. The choice of food and drink throughout our stay was wonderful and varied from one meal/day to the next. The staff were all highly professional, friendly and accommodating and we couldn’t have asked for more other than an extra week! We would highly recommend and would love to come again!

Close distance to airport,minimarkets and beach,everything you need is clos by. WiFi works literally everywhere even outside by the swimming pool. Stuff very friendly even if you ask silly questions, they are always ready to help! Short distance to Heraklion (you can buy bus tickets for 1,60€ from minimarket next door and bus stop is just 100m from the hotel) from where you can take bus to see Knossos for example,it's 15€ for entry), also when you get off the bus in Heraklion their national museum is right in front of the bus station (12€ entry)

So the rooms are small, but they're cozy.

So the rooms are small, but they're cozy. You only need the room to sleep in, and it functions just fine for that. They have a pool, laundry facilities, breakfast, and a balcony to enjoy that beautiful sea breeze. It is located directly across the street from the beach and centrally to multiple mini markets and restaurants. Close to the freeway and airport. And staff is fantastic. Highly recommend!!!!

No air conditioned in bedrooms ! Only in living room ! We had to live without sleeping because of the terribile hot. When we asked for our money back, they answered that it was'nt specified that AC was in every rooms but is clear that if the house has 3 floors you can not write that there is AC if only one room has it! We wasted money and time

Really little city, you can find food, and markets, go to the beach and that really is all. Would recommend going to Heraklion nearby and the whole island for a week stay. (Didn't try the Minoan Experience tho)

It was a 3-4 minute walk to the main road which had two mini markets and a great restaurant which provided a wide variety of food at cheap prices. There is also a bus stop across the road from the restaurant where you can catch a bus to Heraklion city for €1.60 which takes approx 35 minutes. Karteros beach is approx 10 minutes walk where you will find numerous bars open for business. Also, at the top of the hill going south east there is a bus nearly every hour that goes to Agios Nikolaos among other places, which is worth a visit.

A small older style friendly hotel with a family atmosphere. Only 5 mins walk to a lovely uncrowded sandy beach. A few tavernas within a 5 minute walk. Heraklion only 10 mins away by car. A good bus service too with bus stop just down the road. A lovely small swimming pool with sunbeds and chairs. If you like watching planes the hotel is ideal for you, with aircraft passing by on the landing approach, although just far enough away not to be too noisy. Parking available right next to hotel on the street.
