Vela Luka is a hidden gem!

Vela Luka is a hidden gem! It’s not overly touristic, which was exactly the appeal for us. The days are slow and relaxed, the food is delicious, and the people are lovely — it feels like a more authentic side of Croatia. It’s the perfect place to unwind, but at the same time there’s plenty to do. We went scuba diving, spent time at the beach, tried different restaurants, and enjoyed walking around. Honestly, we could have easily stayed at least two weeks just relaxing and exploring the different areas. We were there for 3 days and 3 nights, and it wasn’t nearly enough!

A great little town with much fewer visitors than Dubrovnik...

A great little town with much fewer visitors than Dubrovnik for example, a very pleasant town and harbour to wander round with plenty of bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours, easy to get ferries to other islands or just across the bay to a swimming spot.

The place is really nice and very well located.

The place is really nice and very well located. However, the WiFi in our room didn't work during our stay. The people at the management office were diligent in finding a solution although the result was not positive at all. As you can imagine, not having WiFi at all in our room was an unpleasant surprise.

It is a wonderful town with great restaurants and bars.

It is a wonderful town with great restaurants and bars. You can find well-equipped groceries, a drugstore, and everything you need for your stay here. There is a beautiful boulevard by the marina. You can find nice beaches within walking distance. If you have a car, there are plenty of outstanding beaches that you can drive to in less than 15 minutes. Additionally, you can take a boat taxi to visit the nearby, wonderful Proizd Island.

Amazing house, in a nice location far away from the noise of the town. Hypermarket is available in 10 minutes by car. A boat or jetski is worth reserving in advance. Real transformation both for adults and kids... Unforgettable vacation.

Nice little coastal town, with less to see compared to...

Nice little coastal town, with less to see compared to Korčula city. Nice to be based for exploring rest of the island and the island Proizd. Remnants of industrial times when the city was in it's peak are visible throughout. Vela Spila is also a must see.

The centrally located appartment was absolutely lovely, as well as Matea who rented it. It was a really outstanding interior design (great rain shower, perfect lighting and comfortable bed as well!) with everything you would need and makes you feel comfotable. The whole building is very new and everything is still shining. Matea gives you a lot of advices, what makes planning easier to get around the island. I recommend this place 200% and would definitely book it again if we'd go back to Vela Luka.

Very quiet and remote location where you can be in Vela Luka within 15 minutes.Everything in the house exceeded my expectations, both in terms of location and equipment, I warmly recommend it to all future travelers. The host Jerko is great and I also got to know his family and tasted food in their family restaurant Davorin. Everyone was nice and friendly

Good value for the money. Our host was great. Bed is comfortable. We had really nice time in Vela Luka and Korcula island. It is also close to small city beach so you can always have quick swim. Couple of less crowded and wild beaches are relatively close too

The apartment is very comfortable, and it has everything that's needed. The kitchen and toilet are fully equipped. The apartment is not near Vela Luka, especially if you travel with kids, but if you have a car, there is no problem.
